Francesco Totti, Gabriel Batistuta and Francesco Totti are among the ex-Italian and Serie A stars playing this evening at the Artemio Franchi in a special match between Fiorentina and Serie A legends.
The match kicks off at 20:00 CET [19:00 BST] at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence. Football Italia is among the accredited media.
It’s a match played to celebrate Fiorentina’s centenary, between legends of La Viola and Serie A – Operazione Nostalgia legends.
Gabriel Omar Batistuta joined the team of Fiorentina legends, which also includes, among others, Adrian Mutu, Francesco Toldo, Giuseppe Rossi and Franck Ribery.
Roberto Baggio is also at the stadium, but when he was announced by the speaker, the Divin Codino arrived in a suit and without his football boots, suggesting he won’t play tonight.
Baggio kicked the game off and then left the field, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd.
Among the players who will feature in the Serie A legends team are Inter vice President Javier Zanetti, Francesco Totti and Antonio Di Natale.

There are, overall, five 2006 Italy World Cup winners: Totti, Simone Barone, Massimo Oddo, Marco Amelia and Luca Toni.
The coaches are Cesare Prandelli for Fiorentina and Roberto Donadoni for Serie A legends – Operazione Nostalgia.
