Axel Disasi is the third Chelsea defender linked with a move to Serie A this summer, while Juventus are still assessing their options up front, struggling to reach an agreement with PSG for Randal Kolo Muani and with Lois Openda and Arkadiusz Milik being their only options in attack for now.
The summer transfer window is gaining steam with most of the top Serie A clubs actively moving to get reinforcements ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Roma are expected to miss out on Crysencio Summerville from West Ham, despite being confident of signing him barely 24 hours ago. Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal, in fact, have made an offer worth circa €80m including add-ons plus €15m per season for the Dutch winger.
West Ham had previously accepted Roma’s offer worth around €50m, and Summerville is now due to decide which club to join. The Giallorossi have offered him €4m per season and are reportedly trying to persuade the winger through his compatriot Donyell Malen as well as coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
The alternatives for the Giallorossi, according to Sky, are Andreas Schjelderup, Antonio Nusa and Diego Moreira.
While Roma can offer Summerville the appeal of Champions League football in the 2025–26 season and an exciting sporting project, he is still expected to opt for Al-Hilal’s financially superior proposal.
According to FootMercato, Roma have another target in the Premier League: Chelsea’s Axel Disasi. The Serie A side is said to be in contact with the player’s camp, with Chelsea demanding €20m.
Disasi is the second Chelsea defender linked with a Serie A move in recent weeks. According to Gazzetta, Napoli enquired about Benoît Badiashile last week, while Como remain interested in Trevoh Chalobah, who has a €35m price tag. Como have already had two bids rejected from Chelsea.
Elsewhere in Serie A, Inter are genuinely interested in Tottenham centre-back Romero and seem to have cooled their interest in Chalobah.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have received the green light from Romero to go ahead with negotiations with Tottenham, who, however, demand €50m.
The Nerazzurri are also unwilling to continue talks with Tottenham for Djed Spence, at least for now, as Spurs demand over €40m for the ex-Genoa man.
Juventus failing to get agreement for Kolo Muani
It’s the same request PSG have made to Juventus for Randal Kolo Muani, who reached an agreement with the Bianconeri weeks ago and is still waiting for the two clubs to shake hands, but it’s unlikely that Juventus will match his French club’s demands.
The Bianconeri want to sign two centre-forwards this summer as they are waiting for offers for Jonathan David and Lois Openda. The latter has attracted interest from Monaco, Rennes and Coventry City, according to Gazzetta, but the Bianconeri must retain him for now, as he and Milik are currently the only options in attack with David on holiday after the World Cup and Jeff Ekhator injured.
According to Calciomercato.com, Crystal Palace’s Jean Philippe Mateta is once again being considered by the Bianconeri.
John Lucumí remains one of Juventus’ defensive targets, and Bologna director Claudio Fenucci has confirmed that the club assured the Colombian defender he would be allowed to leave during the summer transfer window, provided Bologna received a suitable offer.
