England international John Stones is expected to undergo his Inter medical on Thursday or Friday this week after agreeing a two-year contract, having left Manchester City.
The defender is a free agent after a decade with the Citizens, as his contract was allowed to expire on June 30.
He had also been in negotiations with Juventus, Arsenal and Chelsea among others, but managed to agree personal terms with Inter over the weekend.
The contract at San Siro will run to June 2028 and be worth €4m per season net in wages.
Stones expected in Milan this week

According to Sport Mediaset, Stones is expected to land in Italy on Thursday July 30 and can then undergo his medical tests before putting pen to paper.
The 32-year-old is currently on vacation, as he was part of the England squad that made it to the third place final in the 2026 World Cup.
It is therefore likely that he will wait until his new Inter teammates return to Italy from their pre-season training camp in Germany before meeting up with them for the first time.

There are some familiar faces in the side already, most notably his former Manchester City teammate Manuel Akanji.
