Como confirmed that they had agreed a pact of non-aggression with Inter for Trevoh Chalobah, but now the Lariani are preparing a new €30m plus add-ons offer to Chelsea.
The defender was a target for both Serie A clubs, so Como President Mirwan Suwarso confirmed on a podcast this week that he had called up his Inter counterpart Beppe Marotta to agree a transfer truce.
“If you want him, you go for it, we’ll back out. But if you buy him, then give me one of yours,” explained Suwarso.
Chalobah back on Como radar
Now it would appear the situation has changed, as Inter are not prepared to pay the €35m asking price, so allowed Como back into the race.
According to various sources including the Gazzetta dello Sport and FCInterNews, they are ready to offer €30m plus add-ons to get a deal over the line for Chalobah.
Their previous proposal of €28m plus €2m in add-ons was rejected, but this might be enough.
Chalobah is currently participating in the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico, where England will face France tomorrow for the third place final.
The 27-year-old is a product of the Chelsea academy, but spent much of his career out on loan.
