Jose Mourinho has officially confirmed a squad of 22 Real Madrid players to take on Inter in their first match of the 2026-27 Champions League campaign on Tuesday evening, including former Nerazzurri wing-back Denzel Dumfries.
Cristian Chivu and his players are already in the Spanish capital and are gearing up to face 15-time Champions League victors Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the toughest of possible starts to the new European season.
The Nerazzurri will also be going up against their former treble-winning head coach in Mourinho, who has several major personnel decisions to make ahead of the visit of his beloved Inter on Tuesday night.
Madrid are without Bernardo Silva, Edoardo Camavinga and Arda Guler through suspension on Tuesday evening. Eder Militao, Raul Asencio, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo are also unavailable through injury.
Aurelin Tchouameni has been included in the Madrid squad to face Inter, but the France international is yet to start for his club this season and is unlikely to be thrown straight into Mourinho’s starting line-up.
The same is also true for Endrick, who has been struggling with a muscular injury in the early stages of 2026-27, but will be available for selection against Inter.
