Inter have officially extended the contract of striker Francesco Pio Esposito to June 2032, locking down the future of the 21-year-old Italy international.
The Italian rules had previously limited contracts to a maximum of five years, but recent changes now allow for six seasons, and this is one of the first real examples of that being used in Serie A.

The centre-forward has been in their youth academy since 2014, working his way up the levels to become a regular starter alongside captain Lautaro Martinez.
Following a two-season loan spell in Serie B for Spezia, he returned to San Siro in 2025 and flourished under the guidance of coach Cristian Chivu, who had already worked with him in the youth team.
Esposito celebrated his 21st birthday in June and has now scored 12 goals with eight assists in 53 competitive appearances for the senior Inter squad.
He also contributed five goals in just nine senior caps for Italy, making his debut at this level in September 2025.
It is widely reported that the new contract will see his salary improved to €2.7m per season net, compared to the €1.85m he was previously earning.
