Inter and Liverpool have come to an agreement for the transfer of English midfielder Curtis Jones, and the latest updates confirm that the 25-year-old will be in the city of Milan on Friday to complete the final formalities of his San Siro switch.
When will Curtis Jones arrive for Inter?
Inter and Liverpool reached a transfer agreement for Jones on Wednesday at a cost of €35m including bonuses.
According to Thursday’s reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Jones will have his medical in Italy on Friday morning and is scheduled for his tests with CONI at around 12.00 local time (11.00 BST).
He will then head to Inter HQ to sign his contract and from there, it will be time for an official announcement, which is expected to arrive before Inter kick off their Serie A season against Monza on Saturday.
The six-time England international was into the final year of his contract at Anfield and would have been able to start negotiating free transfers from January onwards.
The Nerazzurri had also expressed an interest in picking up the Liverpool academy graduate during the previous January transfer window.
Jones is set to become the sixth Englishman to represent Inter, and curiously, three of them have been signed this transfer window. The other English Nerazzurri representatives are John Stones, Djed Spence, Ashley Young, Paul Ince and Gerry Hitchens.
