Inter have been fixated on one target to shore up their midfield this summer, Curtis Jones, and have been waiting for some departures and for Liverpool to lower their demand before going all-out to sign him, and Lazio targeting Davide Frattesi could give them an assist in that sense.
According to Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), the two teams have started to work on a loan with a conditional obligation to buy. The player’s priority is to get more consistent minutes. He logged 33 appearances last year, but he started just a handful of times.
If Frattesi left, Inter would quickly rekindle their Jones pursuit. They are willing to spend up to €35M for the Liverpool midfielder. The counterparty keeps asking for a very robust price tag despite his short-term contract. He’s keen on the move and has been preserved during the pre-season.
Per Alfredo Pedullà, the Nerazzurri midfielder has been offered to Lazio by his agent Giuseppe Riso. He also represents Mario Gila, Andrea Pinamonti, and Lorenzo Lucca. The capital club considered a partial trade with Napoli, but Milan ultimately swooped in for the defender. They could pursue the Sassuolo man after missing out on Benfica’s Franjo Ivanovic, who’s going to Lens instead.

It would be a great landing spot for the former, as it’s one of the few teams where he’d be a day-one starter. It’d be a bit ironic, given his Roma ties. On the other hand, the Biancocelesti have big troubles completing any signing, and the Scudetto winners aren’t exactly giving him away, so the negotiation won’t be smooth.
