Giovanni Malagò has revealed that a decisive week has begun regarding Italy’s next technical director and coach, while Ruben Amorim has landed in Milan to begin his tenure at the Rossoneri’s helm.

It’s been another busy day for Serie A and Italian football with FIGC President Malagò providing updates on his search for a new technical director and coach.

During an interview released this morning, Malagò confirmed that Paolo Maldini is his main candidate for the technical director role, while Antonio Conte and Roberto Mancini may not be the only candidates for the coaching job: “It’s not out of the question that it might involve more than just these two individuals,” he said.
“The only truth is that I haven’t spoken to any coach; that would deeply contradict my intention, which is to evaluate and decide with the technical director who it will be.”
Another coach, the Portuguese Amorim, has landed in Milan to begin his tenure as the Rossoneri boss and immediately headed to the club’s headquarters for a transfer meeting with Milan executives.
