Inter eyeing Roma’s Ndicka to replace departing De Vrij

Sunday’s reports claim that Inter are eyeing up a potential move for Roma centre-back Evan Ndicka to replace Stefan De Vrij, who is increasingly likely to leave San Siro at the end of his contract later this month. Inter keen to add Ndicka to Chivu’s squad for 2026-27It is set to be a busy transfer window for the Nerazzurri after their domestic double success in 2026-27: Marco Palestra remains the priority target at right wing-back, while the likes of Curtis Jones and Oumar Solet are also tipped to join Cristian Chivu’s side this summer. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that a deal for the €50m-rated Palestra could be closed within the next few days, that Inter and Udinese are around €5m apart in their valuations of Solet and that a deal for Liverpool’s Jones is likely to be closed once the Nerazzurri arrange a sale of Davide Frattesi. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport also reports that Inter are keen to add Roma’s Ndicka to their ranks as well, especially if De Vrij decides to leave the club at the end of his contract on June 30. (Photo by Getty Images) It is believed that the Giallorossi must raise €60m in sales before their deadline at the end of the month and it has been suggested that selling Ndicka could raise around €40m in useful funds. In an ideal world, Roma do not want to let go of Ndicka, especially ahead of the club’s return to the Champions League next season, but their need to raise funds could soon force their hand.
