Real Madrid put Nico Paz out of reach for Como but Inter preparing offer

Sunday’s reports indicate that signing Nico Paz back from Real Madrid will be near-on impossible for Como this summer, but that Inter are still keen on a potential €60m deal for the Argentina international. Where Inter, Como and Real Madrid stand with Nico PazNico Paz has spent the last two seasons with Como, but Real Madrid possess a series of low-cost buy-back options and it is widely expected that they will activate their €10m option to bring the 21-year-old back to the Spanish capital this summer and that they could then potentially seek to sell the Argentine on for a significantly higher fee. Como have made it clear that they wish to keep hold of Paz for another season at least, particularly with the club gearing up for its first ever experience in the Champions League in 2025-26. However, if Real Madrid do activate their buy-back clause and request a fee of €60m, which is what has been reported by various outlets in Italy, including the Corriere dello Sport, then Como will be priced out due to financial fair play.Inter remain interested, even if a €60m deal may still be tricky to pull off. SASSUOLO, ITALY – APRIL 17: Nico Paz of Como 1907 looks on during the Serie A match between US Sassuolo Calcio and Como 1907 at Mapei Stadium Citta del Tricolore on April 17, 2026 in Sassuolo, Italy.
